In 1986, the National Milk Board transitioned into
the Milk Industries of Lanka Co. Limited as part of

operated as Kiriya Milk Industries, a joint venture
with the Indian government, benefiting from the
management and technical expertise of India’s
National Dairy Development Board. In 2004, following
the dissolution of the joint venture, we became a
fully government-owned entity, named as Milco (Pvt)
Ltd.
