Digana Milk Factory

The Digana Milk Factory (DMF) was established in 1987 and as at present, manufactures many a number of Highland product range such as yoghurt, cheese, Ice cream, Curd, Sterilized milk, Pasteurized milk etc. Initially the staff strength of DMF was 55 and processed 4000 – 5000 liters per day. By now the staff strength is increased to 230 and processes around 11,000 liters per day.

Mr. Saman serving as Factory Manager to the MILCO (Pvt) Ltd., Digana Milk Factory . Mr.Saman Graduated from University of Peradeniya with a Bachelor of Science (BSc). He has followed the Diploma in Quality Management in SLSI.

He having 30 years experience in MILCO at Ambewela & Digana Milk Factories.

He received overseas training related to the Milk processing & Quality Control

Mr. Ishara is currently serving as acting engineer for spray dried milk factory Ambewela. He completed B. Eng. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bolton, UK and Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education. He is an Associate Member of IIESL and IMechE. He has also served as an Engineer in KASE Engineering (Pvt) Ltd and 3G Consultants (Pvt) Ltd.
